Yesterday, within the framework of the Erasmus+ T-GREEN project, Eurasia International University hosted the launch of a two-day international conference titled “Institutional Policy and Practice for Sustainable Development in Education and Research.” The aim of the conference is to promote sustainable development initiatives within Armenia’s higher education system. The event has brought together leadership from leading Armenian and European universities, along with professionals in the field of sustainable development.
The head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, H.E. Ambassador Vassilis Maragos delivered the opening remarks. The audience was also welcomed by Suren Ohanyan, Rector of Eurasia International University. In addition, a representative of the Higher Education and Science Committee conveyed a greeting message on behalf of Artur Martirosyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
About the Project
T-GREEN is a project aimed at implementing necessary reforms in post-graduate education, with a strong emphasis on “green” policies.
The project enables universities to transition from traditional educational programs to future-oriented, green, and interdisciplinary curricula. It also promotes student mobility and supports the development of mechanisms for joint degree programs. The Erasmus+ T-GREEN project—“Transforming Postgraduate Education for a Green and Sustainable Future”—is a three-year initiative funded by the European Union. The National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia (NUACA) coordinates it, with Eurasia International University (EIU) serving as co-coordinator.
