The progress of the “Transforming Graduate Education for Green and Sustainable Future” (T-GREEN) project co-financed within the framework of the EU Erasmus+ Program was discussed with the representatives of the Higher Education and Science Committee, and future actions were outlined.

The activities implemented in the framework of the T-GREEN project launched last year were presented during the working meeting in the Higher Education and Science Committee on January 24, 2024. The project consortium was represented by Mr. Varazdat Hovhannisyan T-GREEN project coordinator and the Head of the Quality assurance and development center of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia, Mr. Ruben Markosyan, vice-rector of the Eurasia International University, which is the co-coordinating member of the project consortium, the representatives of the National University of Architecture and Construction of Armenia Mrs. Angin Martirosyan and Mrs. Irina Vanyan, as well as the Head of the Department of Institutional and Program Expertise of the ANQA Mrs. Varduhi Gyulazyan. The representatives of the consortium briefly presented the objectives of the project, the planned activities, the works performed during the past months, and the institutions involved in the project consortium.

Among other institutions, the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport (MESCS) is also a member of the project consortium. The Higher Education and Science Committee was established in 2023 as a subordinate body of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport. The scope of activities of the Committee includes the functions of the former Science Committee and the Supreme Certifying Committee of the RA MESCS, as well as the Department of Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education of the RA MESCS, ensuring the implementation of the state policy aimed at the cooperation and integration of the fields of science and higher education.

Deputy Chairman of the Committee Mr. Artur Movsisyan, newly appointed head of the Program Implementation Department Mrs. Lusine Grigoryan, head of the Department of Higher Education and Science Policy Mrs. Ani Virabyan and chief specialist of the international cooperation division of the same department Mrs. Ofelia Zakaryan participated in the meeting with the representatives of the T-GREEN project.

T-GREEN project coordinator Varazdat Hovhannisyan presented in detail the activities planned within the framework of the second work package of the project, which is in the active stage of implementation. In particular, the following national documents being developed and/or reviewed within the framework of the Project were considered:

• National Roadmap of Education for Sustainable Development,

• The list of educational programs for master’s professions supplemented with new “green” and interdisciplinary programs,
